~ A Beautiful Day ~
I've awaken this morning not at my best,
a new day dawns after a tough night.
After tossing and turning with little rest,
I'm past it, now everything's Alright;
Because the sunshine makes me high,
I say it's going to be a beautiful day.
Taking the bad with good, I ask why
can't people see life in this way?
When I go to visit the great outdoors,
I'm caught by the birds singing their song,
It's such a sweetly delightful chorus,
good feelings reign all of my day long.
Then, I feel a soft breeze blow,
cooling me from the sun's heating ray.
I have to say from my very soul,
Thank You God for this beautiful day!
When dreary clouds of Despair arise
remember they will soon go away.
So dry the tears from your sad eyes
and the sun will return another day.
Life is such a blessing from above,
is the thought we all should conceive.
If we have health, happiness and love,
Everyday's a beautiful day, I do believe.
