Still Wonder

At times in the Winter days
When I feel a gloom in the air,
I go out with a hopeful face
to find inspiration there.

Snow is floating in the sky
upon the wind, crisp and clear
Icy trees still stand high
seeking Springtime here.

Up ahead is a quiet pond
But the fishes have all gone
Where they went is all beyond
What the children skate upon.

I look around this frozen cold
My fog like a cloud blows out
Sunshine beams of yellow gold
Are peaking all about.

Trapped in time I view the scene
And the moment seems to stand
I witness wonders in everything,
God keeps within His hand

Winter's picture last so long
But this time too will end
To stay alive and to stand strong
I'll be back some day again.
