This is to my three beaufiful children,
A little poem, I'll call Daddy's advice.
Stop for a minute and pay attention.
I don't want to tell you this all twice.
I care for each of you so deeply.
These are things we all should know,
about life and living respectably.
You'll find time tells the way to go.
The most important thing of all, you do,
Is to honor God, to Him always be true.
This will spare, much pain and misery
and your hearts will have peace to rule.
Next is, try to be responsible people.
All of us should carry our own weight.
When you can, help those who have little.
Life has no room anywhere for hate.
Think about using The Golden Rule
whenever you've got conflicts to face.
You'll know a new point of view,
putting yourself in anothers place.
Principles to do and be a happy person.
Do them and you'll surely see.
I must say, it's the only way,
life's philosophy for me.
