SPONANEITY

by

Terry Hagerty

When it comes to an outing or vacation,

Some planning can eliminate frustration.

Reservations can be truly essential

For fulfilling your outing's potential.

Yet there's something that's quite liberating

In moving past planned deliberating.

Carpe diem should be your per diem.

"Seize the day" is a slogan for freedom.

Your diversion need not be dramatic.

Something new need not make you a fanatic.

Perhaps, the next time you go out to eat,

Something different just might be a treat.

The gaiety that comes from spontaneity

Adrenalizes the soul of the laity.

Taking the road unexpected perchance,

Might lead to your next lasting remembrance.
