Electrical TCT - Instructions

I always wanted to make a TCT or Trash Can Trauma, but the whole air powered stuff was kinda to involved for me cause I'm only 15. So I devised an electrical version which is a little different then the eair powered one being that it has no character poping out, but still scares the crap outa people just as much.

Ok, so the first this you gotta do is find a power drive drill. This drill will serve as the main crank spinny thingy of the TCT. (Yeah I know, real technical terms.) If you make the TCT right, you'll be able to just un-chuck a dowel out of the drill bit after halloween and you get your drill back. Heres a list of other materials you'll need:

Materials

*Power Drive Drill
*Two peices of 1" PVC pipe
*Two U rings
*One metal garbage pail
*Assorted blocks of wood
*Wooden dowel, maybe about 1/2" in diameter
*Four large nuts and bolts
*Might need some other crap, but you should be able to figure it out. Look over the instructions before you go shopping.

Onto the Instructions!

Ok, theres lots of pictures but they make everything alot easier to understand. So here the deal. Keep in mind that everything will vary a little bit depending on the size of your garbage pail, your drill, etc. SO USE SOME CREATIVITY!! hehe. Anywho, make sure the dowel you bought will chuck into the drill. (Pretend it's a really big drill bit.) If it fits, good, if not, you need a different one. Now we're gunna deal with the most important part of the TCT, the crank block. This block attaches to the main PVC arm and the drill. So this block needs two holes in it, one for the dowel, and one for the bolt that will attach to the PVC.

Ok, now that you have that assembly down, it's time to work on the top half of the garbage pail. This pic will also show you a little bit more of the crank setup.

After you install the U rings, then you can work on puting in the PVC guide poles and other stuff on the cover. Cut one piece of PVC in half. It dosen't have to be pefect, they're just to make sure the cover dosen't come down at an angle.

Ok, now all you have to do is put all this togeth. MAKE SURE THAT THE TRASH CAN COVER IS CLOSED WHEN THE CRANK IS IN THE LOWEST POSITION!

Thats pretty much it. If you don't understand the directions, just look them over a little and you'll probably be able to figure it out. The directions can be bent a little, they're just really a guide. To operate simply lock your drills trigger into the on position and you can control it manually or with a switch to feed it power. You also might want to play with the speed of your drill a little and maybe spray the PVC black so it's harder to see. I'm working on a way to make the character come out, but that'll be for next year. So basically whne feed power the cover of the pail will slam up and down making a bloody racket and scaring the hell outa anyone near it. It's great. If you have any questions, email me:
