Sub: Regarding grant of double benefit for fixation of pay under FR 22 (1) (a) (i) for JTOs/SDEs on their promotion as SDEs/JTS Grade respectively.
Orders for grant of pay fixation benefit under FR 22 (1) (a) (i) for JTOs/SDEs on their promotion as SDEs and JTS officers of ITS Group ‘A’ respectively were issued vide this office letter No.4-3/94-PAT dated 2nd September 1994 in consultation with Department of Personnel & Training and Ministry of Finance.
P&T Audit had objected to the above orders and the issue was taken up again with the nodal ministry. It has been clarified that since orders No. 4-3/94-PAT dated 2nd September 1994 was issued after obtaining the approval of Department of Personnel & Training & Ministry of Finance the fixation of pay done in terms of that order holds good. Concerned CGMs of Telecom Circles where the Audit paras are pending may be informed to reply to Audit accordingly.
