The 25th AIC was held at Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu for three days that is on 8th, 9th & 10th April, 2003 with Pre AIC CWC on 7th April, 2003. SNEA(I) : Sanchar Nigam Executives' Aassociation(I) Formed by merging TEOA(I) & BSNLEA(I) at the CHQ level. Highlights The CHQ Organisations of TEOA(I) and BSNLEA(I) have been merged to form a Unified Association for all the BSNL Executives The New Giant Association Named Sanchar Nigam Executives' Association(I) Membership of the Association is open to all the officers belonging to the Executive Category IN TELECOM ENGINEERING, FINANCE & ACCOUNTS, TELECOM FACTORIES, CIVIL, ELECTRICAL, ARCHITECTURE AND SECRETARIAT SERVICES OF BSNL, MTNL AND DOT. Monthly Rate of Subscription has been fixed at Rs. 25/- per member. More than 2000 Delegates from across the Country Gathered at Kanyakumari and Have made the AIC a Grand Success. The Grand Opening was Inaugurated by honourable Shree J. K. Chhabra, Sr. DDG., Personnel. In his Inaugural Address Shree Chhabra enlightened the delegates that: Pay Scales of the BSNL executives expected before the month end.
BSNL Management is sincerely trying its best to get an early approval of the Pay-Scales from the DPE
BSNL is likely to get Navaratna Status shortly, which is a great boost to all our executives
Key Note Address was given by Com. W. Seshagiri Rao, GS of the Earstwhile TEOA(I) which now is the integral Part of the SNEA(I). Com Shesagiri is later elected the First President of SNEA(I), the New Association Election held for the New CHQ Office bearers of the Unified Association: SNEA(I) Conducted. The Election was Unanimous. Com G. L. Jogi Elected as the General Secretary and Com. W. Seshagiri Rao as the Presodent of the New Giant Association.
