Techno Weapons
The Blazing Star Blade (T.W.):
While this weapon is most often found in the form of a Rapier, it can also be found in the forms of other long bladed weapons such as a Sabre, Epee, Cutlass, or a Katana. Regardless of the appearance of the weapon's outward appearance, the weapon is highly enchanted and is quite powerful. The weapons are special Techno-Wizardry and are similarly enchanted to the Deathbringer and Battle Fury weapons. The weapons are found on both Rifts Earth and the Three Galaxies and are popular with ship crews in both places. The weapons are often decorated with silver, gold, or precious gems in the hilt of the weapon. The weapons blade is bright, almost chromed, bright silver. Any time the weapon's special powers are activated, the blade glows a blazing white.
Weight:
1.76 lbs (0.8 kg)
Mega Damage: 4D6
M.D.C. of the
Sword itself: 120. The sword regenerates damage at the rate of
10 M.D.C. per day. Such damage occurs only when an opponent
deliberately tries to destroy the weapon.
Powers:
Targeted
Reflection: When 15 PPE is channeled into the weapon, the weapon
can be used to parry energy blasts and attacks back at the
originator. The wielder of the weapon makes a parry roll with a +3
in addition to any other bonuses with the weapon. If a successful
parry is made, then if the roll is 13 or greater the blast is sent
back to the attacker. Unless they expect it, the attacker can only
dodge or parry with no bonuses. The wielder can bounce the attack at
a different target but needs a 16 or greater without bonuses. Only
energy blasts, including magical, can be directed back at the attack
but can deflect projectiles harmlessly away. The enchantment lasts
for 6 melees/1.5 minutes
Combat Boosting: When 40 PPE is
channeled into the weapon, the weapon greatly boosts the combat
speed of the wielder. When this is activated, the weapons damage
increases to 6D6 for each hit. In addition, the character gets
double the normal number of attacks with the weapon only (does not
count for another weapon if using two weapons with paired weapons).
The blade comes in at an unexpected high speed and is -5 to parry.
The enchantment lasts for 12 melees/3 minutes
Bonuses:
+1 to Strike, +1 to Parry, and +2 to Initiative Spells Needed:
The spells of Ensorcel, Blinding Flash, Feather Light, Targeted
Deflection, Speed Weapon, and Enchant Weapon. Requires 2 to 3 months
to create.
Black Market / Market Cost: 12 to 15 million
credits.
I like this weapons cause it reminds me of a light saber, and since I have a Jedi in my campaign it works out well
This is where i got the weapon Kitsune
This device is a rather devious invention that tends
to come in rather useful in surprise situations! Imagine entering a
bar or saloon and at first glance, you appear to be unarmed. For some
reason a ruffian decides that "the skinny, wimp" would make
and excellent play thing... When things start to heat up, a flick of
the wrist finds a rather large handgun in your hands, pointing
straight at the surprised braggart's head!
On first glance, it
appear to be simple arm brace that attaches to the forearm of a suit
of armor (But the armor isn't a necessity,) with a sliding mechanism
that traverses from one end of the piece to another.
The sneaky
part lies in the "supposedly" empty cup that is part of the
sliding mechanism. Built into the cup is the handy "D-Pocket"
spell, which allows the cup to hide three handguns.
A quick flick
of the wrist or an activation trigger in the center of the palm, will
cause the slider to spring forward towards the wrist. Upon reaching
the end, the stored handweapon emerges from the dimensional pocket
and into the user's waiting hand.
The TW device is also capable of
concealing three weapons, making it handy when a weapon has been
knocked from your hand! It can also be used as a nice intimidation
technique when the first weapon that pops out isn't quite big enough
to do the job. Just snap out another one! Or another one!
Spells Required:
I think adding the spells Blinding Flash, Thunder Clap, and Cloak of Darkness so that when weapon comes out a penalty of -5 strike -10 dodge to the target and a +5 Initiative +1 strike. Not only that but the Cloak of Darkness (FoM) prevents the user and party members from being blinded. Cumulivty thats a +7 Initiative, +3 Strike and a -5 Strike, -10 Parry/Dodge for the target.
Make one for each arm and it can hold three weapons each. I like 2 small handguns 1 large handgun 1 rifle and 2 genades. Since it does use D-Pocket spells I feel only non-magic items are safe. However if your a munchkin see the creator at the Workshop
