Payment Option #1: Monthly or weekly payment:
There is a Registration Fee of $45 for this option. Lessons are to be paid for monthly or weekly in advance by cash, Cheque, Money Order or Bank Draft. Special rates are available for 2 or more students in the same family, or for fixed-income parents - discuss this with George. Lessons start the week of September 3/2002 and finish the week of June 14/2003 - 39 lessons in all.

No Registration Fee is required for this option. Payment must be submitted in full at time of registration or by September 1st/2002 by post-dated Cheque, Money Order, or Bank Draft. Terms of Agreement:
The one-time Registration Fee of $45.00 is waived if fees are paid in full before or on September 1st, every year. This only applies to those who choose to opt for the Lump-Sum Year and Half-year payment schedule. For the Lump-Sum Year and Half-year payment schedule please submit a post-dated Cheque or Money Order dated September 1st, and - if applicable - February 1st of every year. For the monthly payment option, payment must be submitted at least 10 days before the first lesson of the 4-week period. Paying by week as the lessons go is ok.
Please read the following carefully and sign the agreement. A copy will be given to you for your records.
The lesson time indicated on this form has been reserved for you, the Student, for the current year of (_______) and the following applies:
No Lessons will be rescheduled for activities that interfere with the applicant's reserved lesson time such as: [School Function School Concerts Holidays outside of Christmas and Spring break Sports Events Birthday Parties Field Trips Exchange Programs Illness Dental or Doctor Appointments Forgetting a Lesson]
It is the Student's sole responsibility to arrange any exchange of times with other students if they wish to do so, however at least a day's notice must be given to the Instructor. Lessons are not available on Sundays.
No refunds will be issued for any of the above reasons; No Exceptions.
At least 24 hours notice must be given to cancel a lesson.
If any schedule openings are available, a lesson can be rescheduled. Otherwise no makeup lessons are given. In case of the Instructor being ill, every effort will be made to do make-up lessons if openings are available, no guarantees.
A student's long-term illness or medical problem that causes a cancellation requires a Doctor's Certificate.
There are no lessons during Christmas and Spring Breaks.
Post-dated Cheques are required as per instructions above.
NSF Cheques will have a $25.00 service charge applied, and may also result in cancellation of this agreement.
Purchasing music books, manuscript books/paper, and/or theory books are usually the sole responsibility of the student, however the Instructor can obtain the necessary book(s) with the agreement that they will be paid for within 10 days of the next lesson, and at least 2 week's notice is given for the required books. Taller de Musica strongly suggests Ward Music on Hastings Street, downtown.
Two month's notice for permanent cancellation of Lessons must be given - where possible.
The one-time Registration Fee is non-refundable. If a lump sum payment is made (yearly or half-yearly) and cancellation occurs, the Registration Fee will be charged and deducted from the refund (if any).
If - after in-depth consultation with parents/guardians - a student is not showing consistent progress and is coming unprepared in theory and/or piano assignments at weekly lessons, I reserve the right to discontinue lessons.
All Cheques or Money Orders or Bank Drafts are to be made out to Taller de Musica

Refunds on permanent cancellation will be made only in the event of long term illness or a family emergency that affects the ability of the student to perform their assignments, in this case a Doctor's Certificate is required - otherwise no refunds will be made. A two month lead time in the event of cancellation must be given for those who pay month to month and for those who pay lump sum payment, less the original discount given, and the Registration Fee - if applicable.
