This site was conceived and designed for the purpose of allowing both aspiring and experienced artists, across all genres of art, to gather and promote their work. Our intent is to become one of the largest sites for the sharing of drawn content, make business relations with our content creators to promote them and ourselves and gain sponsorships from other organizations.
C&AH is a small, family operated, site that launched in early 2018 based out of New York.

My first step in development was the overall appearance such as the background and font coloring and sizing. I chose a black background so as not to distract that audience from the content provided by the sites artists and writers. Next was font coloring, a simple white for most of the writing with the use of a bright red for titles to help distinguish pages and make it easiers for end users to read and navigate. Since this is a site revolving around art, I made certain that pages like the Tags had images along with the genre links to help distinguish each link from the others. I also wanted there to be something for beginning artists so I developed a Tutorials page that incorporated some short videos and a Bob Ross theme as a little nod to an industry figure.
All of my design choies were made to make the sites content the star of every page. From the dark background and light fonts to the inclusion of images, everything is meant to promote the images rather than any wording of the site. While the layout isn't as clean and the content could definitly be spaced and positioned better, I did the best I could with the time I had between work and other daily repsonsiblities.
My biggest desire for this site is to expand it to include more pages. Our Tags page alone if very limited in options and is one thing I want to change. I would also like to develope and create the acutal pages that the Tags links were created for. I would also like to include more videos in my tutorials page to address other drawing techniques and provide a variety of options for end users.
