Why I Love Pang...

(^^ Thanks Otto for a great series.)

Fellow Pangers and Pedestrians,

If you think that Pang has been getting better and better, you are right. Remember this game started off being played on top of a cardboard box lid (thanks Joe for the flashback), with nine hits per possession (later amended down to 5 hits, currently stands at 4!), and the hurricane was known as the "cat 5" (thanks Nutt)?? Who would have thought that we would still be playing it two years later??

Pang has survived as a great game because of all the great people who play it. Whether you're PaPPA-Nutt or APP, you have to agree with me there. Each Panger has a few special moments they will never forget. I remember my game with Nick that went to overtime, rack Pang, Lei Pang, and then Tea Time, before finally ending at a score of 27-25. I remember once in the playoffs twisting my paddle around my back in the playoffs in a desperate attempt to keep the play alive, and somehow saving it to win the point (tears streamed down my face in happiness). I remember Nick's TV shot LOG during the Pang clinic (it just rolled down the TV, and in). I remember when the Canadians could never beat the American (I retired in shame of losing for my country). I remember Manager N. Patel telling us that Pang was a fire hazard, and soon threw the LOG in anger (He almost got fired lol!). Finally, I remember the gathering for the season 1 championship between Steve and Drew, sponsored by Snyder's Pretzels. That game 11 LOG by Steve always stands out as my favorite. No matter what though, I'll bet you have special Pang memories, and I would like to hear about them. (Tell me and I'll post them!)

After a few more semesters of Pang, the game will likely disappear forever. That does make me sad to think about...that one day, I will play my last game of Pang.

Until then, I'm excited to play in the Season 4 championship, participate in future seasons, and watch some more memorable LOGs and interferences.

I will be forever indebted to Pang for helping me survive college thus far. It breaks up the monotony of those packed Tuesdays and Fridays. It gets my blood flowing for a test. It builds friendships.

Blog, I'll see you again soon.
