A friend told me that Professor Walsh was gonna die & that the Prof of Demonology was gonna take over. I thought Prof Walsh'd be the big bad of the season. Of course I saw a whole Faith-like situation of Buffy being completely reverted to Initiative ways, however that idea was put to rest once Buffy knew Prof Walsh wanted her dead. I hate being wrong! Yes, even The Source is wrong... alot, hehe. But really, I'm gonna go out of a limb & say that Joss is wrong. I think my idea's better. (Yes, I'm aware of how head-strong I am.) But really, they had a chance to be classy & then they turned into this half-human demon thing saying "mommy". What is that? They could have done so much with The Initiative storyline. Prof Walsh using magic to control an army of demons to fight against her demon enemies. Which, by the way, could still happen because the purpose of controlling some demons still isn't known. Why do they want Spike back so bad? Don't want to spend the cash to recruit another vamp soldier for when The Prof of Demonology takes over The Initiative? Anyway, what 314 turned out to be is so retarded. It feels like the plot of a slack episode, only it seems to be a big part of the big bad of the season. 314, whatever the hell it really is, reminds me too much of Darrel in "Some Assembly Required." The Initiative was really freaking me out there for a while in "The I in Team". There's another big complaint I have. We should have seen more of the underground threat The Initiative poses to Buffy. I mean, last new episode, "A New Man", showed a HINT that they were a threat. Now this one, they're out in the openly a threat. They should have moved faster early on in the season. Then they wouldn't have had to hurry up during sweeps & get to the plot of the season. Maybe that was the point- move fast so you get the ratings. Ah, sweeps, full of twists & turns. I should know better than to make any blind (& by that I mean blind to spoilers) guesses as to what's gonna happen next. | |||||||||
