Buffy's "Tough Love" Man, I don't know if it was the big screen TV I just watched this episode on, but this episode was great! It had impact. The music was great. The acting, the story. I think all the character relations are just adding to what's going on. How 'bout that ending? I loved it. They put you in a state of comfort, you think it's gonna be this sweet, teary, endearing ending & the wall crashes in. & then Tara lets it slip- that Dawn is The Key. So here we go. The next 3 episodes are it, my friends. What it all comes down to. & what does it all come down to? Joss said something interesting in an interview, that the finale will deal with if Dawn is Buffy's sister or not. I found that interesting because I've never really questioned that. Buffy's never really questioned that. I still hold to the Spike thought that it doesn't matter how you start out, but it would be interesting if this really were just a job, another apocalypse to thwart & that Buffy's getting caught up in the sister thing when it's just baggage, it's not truth. Did the monks have the best intentions in mind when they sent Dawn to her? & if so, the best intentions for whom? Our world or Glory's. I sorta have this thought going that maybe something bad will happen to our dimension if the Key isn't used, but that the other dimension will benefit. I don't think that's it, but it's good to be able to twist things around. Tara is quite the cat. That's another crazy person thinking they're a cat. "I eat mice". Man, I know it has something to do with the first dream ever- the one in "GD2". The flash of the cat on the bed. Just the cat walking around. I don't get it. I know the reason Tara was the one in "Restless" sort of as the Buffyguide was abut her getting brain sucked. There was nothing demonic or hidden about Tara, no secret knowledge about Little Miss Muffet & 730- then, but now there is. Now, I imagine, she knows everything. & what The Key is to, as well. Maybe she'll fill Buffy in. What did Giles do to that minion? & why the secretiveness? & how did he know the minion was there? Is Giles Giles? Is he possessed or something, maybe, he's Giles, but unconsciously the possessing thing comes out? Just spinning some thoughts, but that was weird. They turn their back to the minion & Giles, & all the sudden the minion will talk. That was really weird. Now Giles is scaring me, Willow scared the shit out of me with the all black eyes. Xander's paleness scared me. Yes, it's probably the big screen TV. I'm seeing the tartar on people's teeth. Now that's scary. Wasn't that Faith's knife Willow pulled out of the magic shop? Weird. Everything's weird. Last little thing I want to rant about is the WB. I don't hate the WB. They brought me 'Buffy' & they'll forever be good in my book. They stuck with it when anyone else would have canceled it first season, so don't get the impression that I'm trying to find something to criticize the WB for, but it's pretty damn shameless of the WB to make it seem like 'Buffy' is ending. "Our Finale 4 episodes". It's just wrong. Morally, not, ya know, actually. Because it is, the WB series finale. But, when you think about it, it really isn't the WB series finale because it is not their series. Anyway I look at it, it's shameless. Angel's "Belonging" Look, I'm really not going to pay too much attention to Angel over the next few weeks. So just scattered thoughts. Plrtz is the Host's home dimension, as in the finale title "No Place Like Plrtz". There, good is good, evil is evil. No talk, just fighting. People are food, nothing immoral about eating them. Angel can go out in the suns there (it was in the preview). Fun place if you're Angel. When you think about it, the PTB wanted Cordy to get sucked into that dimension, otherwise they wouldn't have given Cordy the vision about the girl & the book. Maybe she's supposed to help the girl. or Maybe Angel's supposed to live there. Are they setting up a Gunn leaving situation or is it just the set up to the whole Cordy saving Gunn from the edge thing? | |||||||||
