Buffy- "Blood Ties" I was actually shocked: way to go, guys! The body thing makes the perfect sense now that I think about it. Why would Glory need a messenger to get to Ben? Why was Glory at the hospital during, I think "Shadow"? "He's quite attractive" "Of course he's attractive!" The fact that Glory's dress was in Ben's locker totally says that they're sharing a body. This makes me think that maybe they're trapped in our reality (or what makes me think the Buffyverse is our reality) & that Glory wants to bring her dimension into theirs because then she'll be reining Queen again & she can probably have her own form back, & maybe that's what the Key is to- unlocking her reality. Or maybe not. Because that would be "evil", but still depending on who you ask, could be good. That's probably not it, just a thought. So it seems Ben & Glory are brother & sister, co-habitating one form. Did Dawn really not remember that Ben turned into Glory or did she want to keep that a secret from Buffy? Perhaps wanted something to do with herself kept to herself or maybe she didn't want Buffy to hurt Ben, maybe figured that nothing could be done anyway because Glory could enter Ben's body at will- not like you can extensively question him or anything. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong. Maybe Ben's just a human. & the only reason Glory can't touch him- no, he beat up her minions, he has to be superstrong too. One of the 3 who ruled that demon dimension- but if the key is to open up a demon dimension then why doesn't he want in on the plan? Reformed? Wants a normal life? Maybe he's the cause of them being, I'm pretty much presuming now, stuck in our reality. Hum. Something to chew on. I like. See how I'm actually making guesses about what's going on instead of complaining about how large the suck-factor has been of late. I still will, but it's nice to have something to chew on. Getting to the suck-factor. I'm sorry. This has nothing to do with any bias on my part, these are just cold, hard facts. Sarah Michelle Gellar has become an awful actress. I can barely even stand to watch her anymore. She just butchers all the lines. I swear, I have to turn my face away when they're showing her just so I can get a better idea of scenes because her expressions are just off. Her tone is always the same. She goes into the same couple modes & it's just not right for the scenes. I'm so disappointed in her! & maybe if I knew she just was a bad actress, I could ignore it more, but the fact that I know she's absolutely fabulous & has put out work I can't even find another to compare with in the past- it's just so... & it brings down everything. The quality of the show. The stature of the show. &, I hope, her career because she deserves some repercussions for her awful acting. I'm glad she didn't win that Golden Globe because that would have given her the idea that what she's been doing is the right thing. It's not. She's not even trying. She's coming in & reading lines- not even registering them I can guarantee you. She used to be so fabulous. I'm gonna' stop talking about this because it really pisses me off. The show is really declining. The music. The directing. The writing. The stories. The episodes. & on top of that, she just feels free to suck. If it weren't for Clare Kramer, I would be completely depressed. That girl thinks when she acts. She's thinking about every line, what it means to the script, to the character, to the audience. I never seen anything like her acting, she's completely innovative. But, anyway, when SMG gives the "performances" she's been given it really devalues the whole show & that pisses me the hell off. That's all I wanted to say. On to "Angel". Angel- "Happy Anniversary" I like the Host. Him & Angel should go out on missions more often. You know, Wolfram & Hart did a pretty good job of setting things in motion so that Angel would be cut off from the P.T.B., but one thing they overlooked: the Host. Definitely, he's gonna' turn it around & tonight he started to. Poor Angel, I just feel so sorry for Angel. I love all the plot that's been going on, but deep down I want Angel to get on the path. & the only way that's going to happen, really, is if he lets Darla go. He's in love with her. He definitely is. & the thing Wolfram & Hart brought back, it was Darla. She might have been human, but she was still who she is now. Maybe not toward the very end, but what he loved was. &, you know what, she loves him. But that's something I'm sure they'll delve into a little later. But, anyway, the only solution is that Angel lets her go. He's done it before, he's let vampires leave "his town". He's gotta' stop making it his ultimate mission & let her go. Of course, there's the obstacle. Darla herself. She loves him. She remembers her heat beating. & she's still the vampire who loved Angel, even if only in her own selfish way. If she could leave amicably, things could be like they were. What's the chance of that happening? You know, I love how we've been taken to this place where we, & by 'we' I mean 'I', want Darla & Angel to be together. But, it can't happen. Cause she's evil & can't handle having a soul. & he's not evil & he'll never go back to being evil willingly. Another doomed love: pity for Angel increasing onward. Scattered thoughts: Okay, maybe Wolfram & Hart's senior partners are demons because why would they want to end the world if they weren't? But they do get off on causing pain, & the people who work for them, yes, actually people, are what I described earlier. Charisma is getting on my nerves. I think it's the hair. & David Boreanaz is a great actor. He almost makes up for SMG's "performance" of late. | |||||||||
