My thoughts on the subject of Buffy

All my thoughts are centered around the finale & the completion of season three.
"Graduation Day pt.2": Before it I had been somewhat disappointed in this season. After I feel it might be the best season ever. The thing that gives me a personal pang is that I know there are only a few of us out there that truly get "Buffy". If you only see vampires & wittiness when you look at this show, you're not seeing it all. "Buffy" has a deep underlying message, which has been more prevalent this season then ever before.
The fight...
Good over Evil. Fighting even when the struggle seems impossible. Fighting even when you don't want to. Even when you can't anymore. Striving for that better world.

The person that consumes my thoughts upon seeing the finale is not Angel, but Faith. In the finale Faith went to a higher place & could see the truth. She ascended. She finally choose good over evil, Buffy over the Mayor. I think the thing about our Faith is that she was just not meant for this world, & once released from it, she became who she truly is. "No body knows what you are" as the Mayor said to her. Evil is not what Faith is. She was put into a bad situation, & I think from "The Wish" we know that under different circumstances how Faith lived her life could have been how Buffy lived hers. Faith made some bad choices & what she has done can never be forgiven, not really, but she can still be good.
I don't think she's going to come out of the coma. & I think that that is probably best. Too much to deal with if she wakes. Besides, this may be the only way Faith ever finds any peace.

Theme of Season 3
The theme of season three was about each person's choice between Good & Evil.
Let me specify: You've got "Amends", where Angel & Buffy have this talk about fighting & not giving up. Then you got "Gingerbread" with Buffy & Angel having the conversation about slaying being fruitless & Angel tells her it isn't pointless, we never win-there's always more evil-but there are reasons worth fighting. Then there's Faith-she choose evil & it had serious consequences. & that's just one person choosing evil over good. & then you have Buffy who fought Evil & conquered impossible odds.
Third season was deeper than any previous season. That is the unique thing season 3 had to offer.
Season one was most original.
Season Two was most epic.
& Season 3 was most philosophical.
