Why The Name
Jane Option Black draws its name from several sources.
‘Jane’ is from a character in Orson Scott
Card's Ender’s Game
series, and ‘Option Black’ is a spoof on certain
ASCI projects concerning parallel computing. The affinity to Lady Jane Grey is incidental, but kind
of cool. As long as the cluster doesn't end up like she did.
