Well, I just know you have heard a lot about the White Ajah, and read a lot too. We are seen as a cold and calculating bunch, emotionless creatures whose lives revolve around logic and the meanderings of philosophy.
All of this is true to an extent. Philosophy and logic are a large influence on our existance. The logic part is a crucial tool with which we contribute our part to the preservation and defense of the White Tower, and the protection of the world.
Whites traditionally don't leave the Tower all that much, but it has been known to happen. However, a lot of the most important work by the White Tower occurs within the shining walls - and who better to set on the task of unravelling ancient riddles and cracking complex codes than a Sister of the White? Much less an entire Ajah of them!
Whites typically have extremely fine and sharp minds. They see the world in a way other women tend not to - picking up on the all manner of detail from the obvious to the incredibly subtle. A White's mind is like a labyrinthine series of storage vaults, where she keeps all the little tidbits she picks up during her day. Some of these morsels she will draw out later to examine in better detail and perhaps fit into a puzzle she's been working at. And, of course, White Sisters have numerous puzzles being worked through at once.
Oh, and if you think Sisters of the White are as emotionally cold as fish, think again! Women of the White Ajah simply understand their own emotions far better than most others, and so are better equipped to utilise them to their advantage, or even put them aside if necessary. White Sisters feel a wealth of emotion - they just handle this wealth with the expertise of long years in practise.
