Special Pagan Dates

The Sabbats:

Samhain: (1 May, Southern Hemisphere.  31 October, Northern Hemisphere).  Also known as: Halloween, The Witch's New Year.

Yule: (June 20-23, Southern Hemisphere. December 20-23, Northern Hemisphere).  Actual date of Yule is dependent upon the actual date of the Winter Solstice.

Imbolc: (August 1, Southern Hemisphere. February 2, Northern Hemisphere).  Also known as: Candlemas.

Ostara: (September 20-23, Southern Hemisphere. March 20-23, Northern Hemisphere).  Actual date of Ostara is dependent upon the actual date of the Spring Equinox.

Beltane: (October 31, Southern Hemisphere. May 1, Northern Hemisphere).  Also known as: Cetsamhain, Walpurgisnacht.

Litha: (December 20-23, Southern Hemisphere. June 20-23, Northern Hemisphere).  Actual date of Litha is dependent upon the actual date of the Summer Solstice.

Lammas: (February 2, Southern Hemisphere. August 1, Northern Hemisphere).  Also known as: Lughnassad.

Mabon: (March 20-23, Southern Hemisphere. September 20-23, Northern Hemisphere).  Actual date of Mabon is dependent upon the actual date of the Autumn Equinox.
