The Little Witch on Yule

The Little Witch on Yule By Dylan Thomas (posted on 17/12/01 by naturallyawitch/wykkin)

I've been being good all year long,
So when Yule got here I could sing this song,
So here's my tune, from me to you,
I hope that you enjoy it, too!!

The fireplace is warm and cozy,
And my cheeks are getting nice and rosey,
Waiting for that good old Santa Clause,
And all his reindeer, and their paws!

I've been praying every day,
That the Goddess would make sure it was okay,
That Santa put me on his list,
Cuz I sure don't want to be missed!

So I helped my mommy bake a cake,
And then I watched my daddy make,
A sled for my brother Fred,
Then he let me paint it red!

That was nice of me, don't ya think?
That should send Santa to the bank,
Cuz I should get my weight in gold,
For the good deed of which I just told!

And then there is my sister Sue,
I bought her a new dress, blue,
I wrapped it in a pretty bow,
And paper so she wouldn't know!

That was even nicer yet!
Santa's happy with me, I bet,
Cuz I'm the nice one in my house,
I'm nice and quiet as a mouse!

But I guess all I want this year,
Is some good old fashion Pagan Cheer,
Cuz I might be a little Witch,
But I know magick is sewn and stitched!

So Santa can give the flute to Paul,
And even keep that brand new doll,
Cuz I've got what I want this year,
My family and good old Pagan Cheer.
