I'ts a beautiful cool morning. I love to sit on the porch when the air is cool. The wild turkeys have shown up for last 3 mornings. Maggie is still not sure about them, but she watches with me.... cautiously.....

When the weather has a sudden change like this (from hot and muggy, to dry and cool) it renews me. Everything seems new and promising again.

Yesterday was a good day. My brother came to visit. We had dinner and caught up a bit. I enjoyed it. When you live this far away from everyone, you cherish the little things. My family means so much to me.

My daughter is bringing the boys to swim later on today. Maybe I'll make a blackberry cobbler.... I need to do something with 5 quarts of berries. I think berry picking is just about over with. Only got about 2 cups last time I went .
