I think that the internet has many aspects that are very helpful to the comunity.The internet and web are technologies that promise us access to the world, but they and their associated social and economic trends challenge many of the premises upon which our identity is forged. I feel like the importance of the internet is much needed. Other than knowing what's going on in the world, it helps with keeping in touch with family members and close friends that may have moved away.
