taiwanese malls... totally different
if youve ever seen taiwan on the world map
you might have noticed that its a lil smaller than the US
also, that its mostly mountain ranges and desert and rocks and stuff like that
that means that its kinda crowded...
the adaptation of course is to not build out, but rather UP
so the average taiwanese mall is around 7 floors...

yea the taiwanese "Living Mall" -- biggest mall in all of Asia (11 floors)
(dont ask me about the name... and no, that soccer ball isnt permanent)
the ball covering is, obviously, just there for the world cup
its really just a canvas covering this huge death-star like structure sticking out of the mall
the ball is hollow, and is connected to the main mall with escalators
same thing, from a different angle to give you the scale
