| I'd like to introduce myself as the Tailwind Times webpage host and the TT newsletter editor. I am 33 and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I work as an airline pilot for Mesaba Airlines (Northwest Airlink) and I'm based out of Detroit, MI. I also have an Air Force career which includes four years of maintenance work on Minuteman III nuclear missiles in Great Falls, MT and now 11 years in the North Dakota Air National Guard maintaining the F-16's ACES II ejection seats, canopies, and associated explosive ejection systems. In 2003 I finsihed my two year project of building a RANS S-10 Sakota aerobatic plane. It's a fantastic airplane to fly and I've been bitten' by the building bug. After searching for another project that interests me I have found the Tailwind. Currently I have started cutting pieces for the wing ribs. Once all the pieces are cut I can actually start gluing! I look forward to meeting my fellow Tailwind builder's this year at Oshkosh and if time allows, at Baraboo. |
| If this were your page I would include pics of your Tailwind airplane or project. If you want to see the S-10, go to: http://www.geocities.com/s10sakota |
