| fairy tales are for kids happy endings, prince charmings stories that they tell am sure they meant well nope, am not a pessimist nor a non-believer just rather hear the truth even if I falter stories told everyday fight for love, come what may these tales that you hear are they real or simply queer? nope, am not a pessimist nor a non-believer with what love has to offer am hoping to recover guess I'm still but a kid sucker for happy endings wanting love, wanting more still hoping, that's for sure so this poem I wrote, you see out of my damn misery as I wipe the tears on my eyes I put on a smile as disguise nope, am not a pessimist nor a non-believer I am just but a human with love, am not yet sober. |
