Franklin - A 40-year-old Franklin man was killed early Wednesday when he was struck by a car driven by a 17-year-old driver en route to class at Franklin High School.

Kohlmann was struck about 7:15 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither the driver nor her two passengers, two teenage brothers who are her neighbors, were injured.

Groen said the case would be turned over to the Milwaukee County district attorney's office for review within days but that "it's far too early" to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
"We're still investigating. We're looking at a number of factors - speed, driver distraction. . . . About the only thing we're not looking at is weather," he said.

Kohlmann's wife, Patricia, was unable to comment Wednesday.
According to the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office, Patricia Kohlmann knew something was wrong when her dog returned home without her husband.
Little could be learned about Kohlmann on Wednesday, but the medical examiner's investigator quoted one source as saying the father of two was "ecstatic about the birth of his second child," born last year. The couple have 8-year-old and 8-month-old children.
According to the examiner's report, Kohlmann was thrown about 123 feet by the impact and the car sustained serious damage.
The accident occurred as Franklin High School was filling for morning classes.

It's far beyond sad. But hey, whats done is done.
Ive seen the driver (senior at FHS) before at school. And if Im not mistaken, shes a straight A's student, and supposed to be graduating this coming May. I heard all kind of stories, but no one knows what REALLY happened. I came to school early that day, so I didnt get to see the whole thing- with the helicopters and news crew and such. Im pretty sure it wasnt a nice sight to see. The man flew for about 123 feet. Imagine that? *sighs*
So, you drivers out there, BE CAREFUL!! Pull over when ur on a cell-phone. Eyes on the road, always. And seat-belt please. 17 is too young to be in jail.

Well nothing's really new with me. I had a bad week. But it got better towards the end. Birthday was fine. School's just sux when you have to work with crabby people. And then, having to listen to 'whats right' and 'whats wrong' when you just turned 18. Arghhh nutcase! *grr
Anyway.. I just took a shower, talked to Huss for hours just now about his love life. Soo sweet and charming. Very fairy-tale like. Me likey! And wish the best of luck to both of you! ;D
Oh yeah, surprisingly Alex called me just now, all the way from Chicago, just to say Hi? Weird. But Im not complaining. I havent heard from that kid for so long that I thought he was mad at me. Haha
Now, talk about phone calls. I was text-msging with Mr An on Friday night while I was out with Erin & Billy for a cruise on Highway 100th. And I dont know what came to mind, I asked him to call me, just for the heck of it. Not that I expected anything, but he DID call me ;D Haha And thats when I got excited and jumpy! Thanks An! That was one of the best "less-than-5-mins convo" Ive ever had! Hihi ;D And no, I do not have a slang ;P

As I was browsing around online, trying to look for a science news article for my Chemistry class, I found that. A four-eared kitten found in Germany. How weird is that?? Ahh well, thats gonna be part of the evolution now, wont it?

Kinda early, but hey, its better than being late ;P However, I dont have an EXACT plan with what I'll be doing. Some of them seem to be busy. One wants to go get drunk and meet some guys (what a friend). One has a musical play to perform. One has to work. And the rest just doesnt care. But (a big) HOPEFULLY, I'll have fun with just three of them, if they ever decide to show up tmw. Other than that, I'd probably be busy doing the sucky schoolwork :/
I really dont wanna spoil my I'll-be-18-soon mood, but some people are just pissing me off. *urgh* HELP! Im trying to have a good weekend here!! Its my birthday for god's sake!
