River Safari

River Safari may be a new addition to the Wildlide Reserves in Singapore but the animals and places that we feauture are no strangers to many. Join us as we take you through the many rivers of the world and expose their hidden charm. First stop, the Mississippi River, where you'll go face to face with the beavers and their rare local, Mississippi paddlefish and alligator gar.

Head down to the Congo River and be amazed at the sight of the largest pufferfish in the world. Moving along, the famous River Nile, feauturing the sharp-tooth tigerfish and the many-finned birchir, is not to be missed.

Don't freak out when you come across a temple beside the Ganges River in the park, it wasn't placed there due to the potential harm that may arise but it is the home to the crocodilian Indian gharial, softshell turtle and goonch catfish.

The huge aquarium inspired by the Mekong River, houses the Mekong catfish and giant freshwater stingray. The growth of both the stingray and catfish can be very astounding, spanning over the height and weight of an average human. Thus it shouldn't come as a shock to see such a large aquarium, which contains the large and elegant catfishes and stingrays.

Follow us as we head into the world of the world's largest amphibian - the giant salamander, in the Yangtze River.
Turn into the home of the two giant pandas from China, Kai Kai and Jia Jia, in the Giant Panda Forest. Do also keep a lookout for the adorable Red Pandas and gorgeous Golden Pheasants.

The Amazon river is not to be forgotten when we mention the iconic rivers in the world. Jump in and off to an Amazon River Quest*. Venture into the South American River where, you will come face-to-face with the mystifying creatures in the world's largest tropical rainforest, such as the exotic spider monkey and tapirs. Going down the river and into the dark jaguar cave, keep a look out for the deadly predator amongst the trees and all around.
Alternatively, if you wish to tone down the hype to prepare for more or have quenched the thirst of adventure, take the River Safari Cruise and listen to the beautiful sound of nature.

Coming back to shore, hike into the Squirrel Monkey Forest to see the tiny, cute and intelligent primates, known as Squirrel Monkeys.
The Amazon Flooded Forest shows of the amazing phenomenum that happens only during the rainy season. The Amazonian forest would be covered and submerged under the 'flood' which goes up to 15 metres. Witness all these madness here in the largest freshwater aquarium in the world. Head down to River Safari and let us satisfy your thirst for adventure and learning.

* The Amazon River Quest, lasting for 10 minutes, costs $3 and $5 for children and adult respectively. Children must be at least 1.06m to ride. Comes on a first-come-first-serve basis.
