Recently the Reader Digest announced Kuala Lumpur the third rudest city in the world I as a Malaysian were not shocked at all considering that I encounter almost daily the unscrupulous behaviors of Malaysian in their daily pursuit of life.

Whether in the bus or when taking taxi Malaysian always outdone themselves when it comes to manners and being polite is not in the main agenda. I once saw a man refusing to give up his seat to an elderly woman in the bus simply because he dislike standing up. There's also the case of a teen taking the taxi ride off a handicapped boy who too slow to get into the cab in Bangsar. Such paradoks are a norm in Malaysia where the people are getting more rude by the day. Must we blame the educational system or our very own home family institution that's getting worse by the years, blame it at the parents or teachers it doesn't matter what's matter we must all take care of our manners especially when in public.  

It's a shame considering this year is visit Malaysia year we Malaysian must show more courteous towards the visiting tourits from abroad. Let us all show our beautiful side the graceful Malaysian we once were not the mannerless people that's potray in western movies. In the positive side Kual Lumpur had improved manner wise we now the 33 most polite people but there's still must room for improvement if we eager to be near the likes of New Yorkers and Filipino where the people are far well-mannered compare to us Malaysian.
