Every year millions of Malaysian watched in anticipation the arrival of the famous reality TV show Akademi Fantasia more eager than they celebrated the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. They clapped and cheered ignoring and overwhelmed the Isha' prayers and some even forget about praying once get hooked with the reality show. The reality show on the otherhand encouraged close proximity by delivering love songs more often particularly sang by women with revealing outfits. According to Islam a woman's voice is her 'aurat' that must not be revealed to the sheer pleasure of the crowd.

Some of the reality show fans even worshipped certains singers like Mawi to the extent of eclipsing our prophets. They proudly display Mawi's posters while shun away the Koran. Mawi iconic figure is bigger than that of the Islamic scholars.

Furthermore Islam discourage it's faithful to indulge in accessive fun and enjoyments especially when the fun tend to disrupt the integrity and faith of the religion as stated in the verses of Isra'.

Therefore Malaysian Muslim is urged to abstained from over indulged in reality TV so that their Islamic faith could be preserved we don't need western culture to ruin our religion there's enough violence and sexs on TV. What we need is more religion programming to strengthen the believes of the Muslim in the country which is under siege from reality TV.   

As for me I opted for 'Forum Perdana' or Premier Forum on TV rather than corrupting my mind and believes on junk contents on reality TV particularly Akademi Fantasia.
