Malay customs a contradiction to Islam Hadhari
photo

People around the world recognize Malaysia of being cultural diversified and rich in traditional customs especially the Malays. But not all the traditional cutoms augur well with Islam the country official religion. Most of them are against the Islamic teachings like 'Kuda Kepang' for instance, the traditional horse dancing incorporated black hexes or spells before every routines leaving the dancers in utter trance and deep exorcism. This deviant culture must be put to a stop otherwise the integrity of Malaysian Muslims might be in questions our faithe to Allah is in jeopardy.

The Malays also believes in the 'Berpantang' or to abstain after pregnancy can't eat that, forbade to walk here and there just because our anchestor believes that by doing that the mother might be possessed. This superstitious believes threaten the fundamentals of Islam and our faith if not checked we might be in the lost.  Others including 'bersusuk' or beautifying the body with an infant's beauty are morally wrong and against the teaching of Allah.

Generally the Malays customs practised for generations is a backward from the real values of Islam and can destroy the Hadhari institution in the country if left to continue. So it's wise that we Malaysian Muslim leave this unproductive practises and comeback to the teaching of Islam.
