About

A. Documentation of the Development Process

This website exists to inform a larger audience of the existence and availability of service from Bielski’s Arrangements, a family owned business. The steps required were, for the greater part, a series of trial-and-error checks. While utilizing various options for learning techniques and skills, frequent visits to the website www.w3schools.com to check options for simple and even more complex techniques to utilize for the website.

B. Defense of the Final Product

Ultimately, my decisions for the website were based on the idea that simple was a better approach than trying to over-reach with visuals. A simple color palette for all web pages ensured that a clean, uniform impression was always in evidence. Additionally, the use of images as “filler” throughout the website assisted in maintaining a clean visual, while offering enticing colorations within image to maintain user interest. The simple table available for reference in pricing allows for a basic understanding of how arrangements are priced without providing too much information for processing. The utilization of a newsletter sign-up on the About page would simulate the option to increase interaction with the shop through its newsletter.

C. Opportunities for Improvement and Growth

The more I learn about website design, the more I know I can include in a website that requires more complexity and interest. By minimizing my energy expenditure here, I ensured I was remaining in a position that did not create needless complex code and design to convey a simple concept. In the future, as I become more comfortable with design, I would hope to include more complex, delicate formatting and more enticing typeset/color choices. In order to further enhance the website in the future, I would also wish to include an all-digital ordering system for patrons to utilize for a swift, easy, and financially beneficial website function.
