Heavier Sanctions On Iran?

The world, or at least the western part of it, fears the Iranian Nuclear Program. Today the United Nations Security Council pushes for heavier sanctions on Iran - thank God the Security Council is devided on this issue!

We may argue that sanctions are effective by putting pressure on nations to cooperate, but on the same token - it may very well result in the opposite effect.

IAEA, The International Atomic Energy Agency says in its latest report that the Iranians are cooperating. Isn't that a green light?

Should we encourage the Iranians to continue in this spirit or slam the meeting-room door to a close?

Imposing new sanctions on Iran is an act of evil and it may backfire to the point where the Iranian government asks the IAEA to pack up and leave all together - and where would that take us?

Sanctions makes for unnecessary risk, let's continue resolving this issue over Iran's Nuclear Program in the name of encouragement and diplomacy - bullying is fruitless...
