About Buzzfeed

Long story short...

I've managed to put general informations about BuzzFeed. As i'm one of it's fan, i always get mesmerized and blown by the ideas BuzzFeed regularely put in it's website. I love the way all the creative people there put so much effort to entertain its audiences with a very informative news but somehow packed with fun and festive pop culture sights. There are a lot of similar websites these days, but i personally think, BuzzFeed is still up there with it's own originality. So here's some light summary about Buzzfeed, and yes i do take some of the information from Wikipedia and a New York Times article that i've read somewhere sometime i forgotten already. So, enjoy...

BuzzFeed is an American Internet news media company. Founded in 2006 in New York City as a viral lab by Jonah Peretti, the company has grown into a global media and technology company providing coverage on a variety of topics including politics, DIY, animals and business. BuzzFeed produces daily content, in which the work of staff reporters, contributors, syndicated cartoon artists, and its community are featured. Popular formats on the website include lists and quizzes. Whereas BuzzFeed was initially focused exclusively on such viral content, according to the New York Times "it added more traditional content, building a track record for delivering breaking news and deeply reported articles" in the years up to 2014. In that year, BuzzFeed deleted over 4000 early posts, "apparently because, as time passed, they looked stupider and stupider", as observed by The New Yorker.
