SHOOTER GUIDE - When a ball is served to the shooter, the drop-target lamps start sequencing and the shooter lane guide motor/cam is activated. Pressing the right green button (by the right flipper button) stops the shooter lane guide and the freezes the drop-target lamps. Hitting any switch (except a 10-points switch) restars the sequencing of the drop-target lights. BALL SAVER - Hitting any indivisually lit drop-target lights the "Ball Save" on the left outlane. Pressing the left green button (by the left flipper button) activates the ball saver. Time it right! CRATER FREEZE - Volcano craters are lit sequentially, except during multiball. Pressing the right green button freezes the crater lights for approximately 1 second. A scoring switch must be hit to the green button to re-freeze the crater lights. MULTIBALL - When a ball enters a lit crater, it will be captured and another ball is released to the ball shooter lane. 2 red "Lava Level" lights in the centre of the playfield show how many balls are captured: the Lava Level 1 lamp will flash if 1 ball is captured, and both the Lava Level 1 and 2 lamps will flash if 2 balls are captured. When the third ball is catured, all 3 balls will be launched 1 at a time from the "Volcano Shaft". Captive balls are retained from ball-to-ball and from player-to-player, unless a player uses them. A player must capture 3 ball for mulitball. During multiball in 3-ball game play only, the playfield scoring is doubled, and no Volcano craters are lit. Whe 2 balls enter the outhole, double scoring finishes. BONUS & MULTIPLIERS SPECIAL - Ball entering all 4 craters will light Special, which is awarded when the ball then enters the top hole. Craters entered are remembered from ball-to-ball. The Special lamp is remembered from ball-to-ball in 3-ball play only. EXTRA BALL - Completing both drop-target banks will light the Fire Pit for Extra Ball, which is awarded when the ball then enters the Fire Pit. A ball passing through the right outlane with the gate closed will also light Extra Ball for 1 shot only (if dipswitch 31 is ON). |
