National Charity Walk® Program

 

On 2013, the Charity Walk® has become the premier advocacy event for Down syndrome in the Malaysia. It is also the world's most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community.

Here are some milestones to show how the program has grown:

2013

• The charity Walk® program was established in 2013 by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in Jun. The name Charity Walk® promotes inclusion between friends of every ability.

• 17 events took place across the country during the inaugural year of the charity Walk®.

• Iman Mukhris led the flagship Malaysia City Charity Walk®.
