Doesn't patches look awful? It was so terrible.. Septermber 1999 i came home from school, and my mother left a note on the door that said "Patches is badly hurt, take care of her". I really didn't think that Patches was majorly wounded, maybe a she was walking funny, definetly not something major. I went inside and called her and called her, and i looked all around the house for her. I couldn't find her; under bed, underblanket.. and finally i walked into the office, and looked underneath the desk, behind the magazine holder... and there was patches lying so painfully. I went to grab some old towels and blankets for her and warmed up some milk with honey and spoon fed it to her... It turned out that this man was walking his VERY BIG german sheapord. He let his dog go on to my lawn and beat the snot out of my 11.2 pound doggie. My neighbor said she heard a lot of barking and whimmpering.. and then when she went to go see what the problem was, she saw this dog drop my dog out of it's mouth and the man walking his dog just went on his way. This guy never came to even apologize to us... We took Patch to the vet that morning and the doctor needed to 'put her under the knife' because the infection had set in, and other medical terms which i cannot remember.. *slaps forhead* The bite in her neck was less then a centimeter away from her juggular vein and was sooo close to dying:-( Patches is doing fine now, we'll be celebrating her 5th birthday January 29th! All of her owies healed up and she's a happy dog... My family & i are still very bitter about how that guy never appologised...grrr
