This is what I have so far for the first flash game I've ever made. All it is so far is the basic movement and controls for the game. In the game itself, there will be enemies, levels, and backgrounds (other than black and white spaces). You will play as a lone pixel trying to find a purpose... But right now you just play as, well, a purposeless lone pixel.

UPDATE: I put up a newer, cleaned up version with some slight changes and a higher frame rate. I think it looks and runs better.

Controls:
Move: left arrow key and right arrow key
Jump: up arrow key
Stop: down arrow key (prevents sliding) (only works when on ground)
Toggle Speed Mode: space (only works when on ground)

Advanced Moves (techniques that will need to be mastered for the harder levels of the game):
Floor Grab: when jumping up to a new floor, if you hold the over key into the wall, the pixel character will "grab" the floor and land on it without completing the rest of its jump. This will be useful later in the game if there's an enemy on the ceiling and you don't want to jump to your full height to reach a new floor.
Short Jump: when switching to speed mode and back, the pixel character will perform a very short, low to the ground hop. This too, will be useful in later levels that will require more precision.
Turn Around: when on the ground, the pixel character can quickly change directions simply by pressing the opposite arrow key. This instant direction change will not work in the air.
Straight Jump: to jump straight up while moving left or right, quickly press the down key to stop sliding movement and then the up key to jump up in a straight line.
