November BP Beautiful

This month's Baldwin Park Beautiful was hands-on trash picking around Baldwin Park. We gathered in four big groups, and cleaned the streets around Morgan Park. I went with a sub-group consisting of about 6 people in the group. We walked about a full mile, from Baldwin Park Blvd. to Los Angeles St. to Main St. and back to Morgan Park. We kept filling up the bag and emptying it in trashcans around the streets. It was community service and a great workout. I have not walked so far in a long time. I was getting tired after making it past the library! Haha! We had Weinersnitzchel hotdogs, chips and soda for lunce at Morgan Park.

| Baldwin Park Beautiful was on October 21...as always the third Saturday of the month. There were probably at least 100 members there..or even more. What did we do? Well, for some people they got an easy 4 hours by just showing up. But for 14 of us members who volunteered first to form a group..we got stuck at a lecture. It was about domestic violence. It was interesting at first but after sitting there for three hours..we got pretty tired and sleepy. We did get free food though..so that�s a good thing! I�m not sure what the other members did..I think they went home or played some games at Morgan Park. If you guys didn�t go...you still got next month..and the month after that..and the month after that...but I hope to see you all every month! | ||
