Rose Float
By: Andy Ton
On Wednesday, December 27th, SV Key Club went to the Rose Float preparation. Everyone was put into groups and assigned different jobs. We were assigned to either cut flowers, glue flowers, or fill up capsules with water. Most of us worked on the floats, gluing flowers or seeds. The group that was most respected by everyone was the clean up crew or trash people. They worked hard to empty out all of the trash cans and keep the place clean. During our 30-minute break, the Kiwanis gave out food to all of the volunteers. They served chili beans, vegetables, dessert, and drinks. We even had pie, donuts, and hot chocolate at the end. It was a very fun day and a great experience for all of us. We were proud of our hard work on the floats.
