Figures 1:32 / 54mm

Figures in scale 1:32, railroading "gauge 1" should have a height of 54mm. Females are a bit shorter (I will add their height once I got it).

The height is measured from the bottom of their feet to the top of their head. Only at flat figures the height of 28mm is measured to the axis of the eyes.

A lot of manufactures quote that their figures are 54mm but very often they are 60mm or even taller, especially Italian manufacturers do this. 60mm is equal to a scale of 1:29.
(One "54mm" paratrooper I have, actually is 64mm tall)

These manufactures offer good quality (well sculpted) figures in 54mm:The large collection of 54mm Prussian Figures (Frederic the Great) are now available here.

The figures in general are 54mm high.
Some figures are correct 54mm high, others not
The figures are quoted for 54mm but most of them are too tall

Manufactures of mostly 54mm figures of Bavarian prototype.
The figures are mostly exact 54mm. Sometimes just a bit less, but for civilian figures I do not see a problem here.

Examples:

PHG4

Germany 1872-1914, Inf.-Reg. Nr. 106, Leipzig

MHG6

"Maat" ( Petty Officer Second Class) of the german imperial navy 1900

Preiser

Preiser Figures in gauge 1 intend to be too large. Some are 60mm (= 192cm).
Example: see Picture
(Use a saw an cut the belly an the leg)

Pegaso

Almost all of the 54mm figures from Pegase are too tall, often even higher than 60mm.
But they belong to the best sculpted figures available in "54mm".

If you spend your holiday in the region "Müritz" (a lot of in summer warm lakes and camping facilities) you should have a look into the "tin soldier museum" ("Zinnfigurenmuseum") and workshop of Ralf Töpfer in the old farm house ("Gutshaus") in Boek.
But don't forget to canoeing on the lakes!)

The large range of 54mm Prussian Figures (Frederic the Great) are now available here.

Ulrich Puchalla

Once this manufactures had a large range of historic figures very exact to 54mm.
The historic figures: Prussia 18th cent., napolonic wars are now available from Müritz Miniaturen (see above).

I do not now, who took his 2nd WW figures. Especially the "Luftwaffenhelfer(innen)" (anti air artillery aids" are interesting for gauge 1 railroading.
