It's too quiet
To be real
This isn't real
The rail is too --
Frozen in hands
Gripping it there
For something
Not granted by
Cold steel rails
There's nothing
In this place
It's too quiet
To be real
This isn't real
Can't be real
It's a nightmare
There's no sound
No expected words
Whispered HERE
Nor THERE
It's vacant
This isn't what --
I was told
Would happen
This isn't what
They taught me
Might occur
This isn't real
Can't be real
It is reality
Nonetheless.
