The Kit
   "The Kit"

There's another life --
  Somewhere elusive
  The storm's know
  As winds whisper
  Of its existence
  It's out there
  Seen in windows
  Observed on faces
  Always passing by
It's heard in voices
Painted on expressions
  Of faces swirling
  In the crowd
It's touched by fabric
  Of clothing worn
By figures striding
  Through corridors
  And it floats
  As tresses aloft
  In the breeze
  It can almost --
Be bought in stores
  It hangs on racks
And sits on shelves
  In nearly every --
  Shop imaginable
  It can almost --
   Be bought
  I ponder this
In knowing tides
  Always deciding
  Yes, it could --
  Almost be bought
  As parts of a kit
    A kit of hope.
