Winter Food

In the middle of Winter the food starts to become scarce. Luckily the grevilleas flower during this time so there are always plenty of visitors to the yellow grevilleas along the lane - manily rainbow lorikeets and noisy miners but the butterflies also seem to like them. There are usually wallabies in the paddocks around dawn and dusk but when food is hard to find they come closer to the house. The cows get into the routine of being fed once or twice a day and congregate around the shed waiting for me to appear with food. Shelley goat mainly eats pellets and grain but she comes into the house paddock to graze when I am at home to supervise her.
