Animal Antics

There's never a dull moment at Clybucca with all of the animals but when they all decide to play lunatics at the same time it can be bedlam. Kayla is the baby of the farm and is still learning manners. She loves to grab Shelley by her lead and run away with her but so far Shelley is stronger than her in the tug-of-war. I use the lead to get Shelley from her pen to her grazing paddock so we can avoid the plants that don't need pruning. Kayla has lots of toys but is forever stealing other things - like eggs. After watering the garden I decided to take photos of some of the flowers and here's a black thing in the background - one wet Kayla.

Then there's a squawk. Holly had climbed up onto the roof of the big shed. That's a long way off the ground but she eventually managed to get herself back down. And sometimes the horses from next door come and peer over the fence, especially when Shelley is in the house paddock and bleating loudly. The red bills used to be frightened of me but now they come running when I go down the hill to feed the cows because they get the scraps. Their latest trick is to fly onto the roof of the Sheraton chook shed. Two baby red bills are now coming out of the water lily pond. Two adults were feeding the one baby so maybe they all care for the babies.
