  कथेचा सारांश - महाराष्ट्राचं आराध्यदैवत असलेल्या छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचं "भोसले" हे आडनाव लावणा-या दिनकरराव भोसले ह्या मराठी माणसाची ही कथा. दुर्दैवाने दिनकररावाचं छत्रपतींबरोबरचं साधर्म्य हे आडनावापुरतंच मर्यादित रहातं. मासे विकणारी कोळीण किंवा स्थानिक दुकानदारापासून तो ऑफिसातल्या बॉसपर्यंत सर्वचजण दिनकरराव भोसलेला पायपुसण्यासारखा गृहीत धरतात. त्याच्या स्वतःच्या कुटुंबियांच्या दृष्टीनेसुद्धा दिनकररावचं अस्तित्व अर्थहीन आहे. सिनेक्षेत्रात उमेदवारी करणा-या त्याच्या मुलीला "भोसले" हे आडनाव बदलून खन्ना किंवा चोप्रा असं उच्च दिमाखमूल्य असलेलं नाव हवं आहे. पार्ल्यामधे दिनकररावाची वाडवडिलांपासून चालत आलेली स्वतःची जागा आहे. ह्या जागेवर एका बांधकाम व्यावसायिकाचा डोळा आहे. ती जागा त्या व्यावसायिकाला विकून टाकावी म्हणून दिनकररावाच्या बायकोची सदैव भुणभूण चालू असते. अशा प्रकारे चहू बाजूंनी कावलेल्या दिनकररावाला हळूहळू आपल्या मराठीपणाचीच लाज वाटू लागते...
Not so Welcome ...?
  If we try to make out something from the distrbution-conflict for the multi-star film Welcome, we come to the conclusion that the film is NOT going to make much impact on box-office. And that is perhaps obvious because the film which pokes fun at criminals will have many opponents. All such forces will ensure that the film turns out to be a flop. Akshaya Kumar lobby is not too interested in seeing resurgence of Nana Patekar whereas Bipasha Basu lobby will ensure that Katarina Kaif, who looks much the same in all the films, doesn't gain much advantage. Root level supporters of Mallika Sheravat, Nana Patekar & Katarina Kaif will have to work hard simply to ensure that the media-value of these stars doesn't deteriorate drastically ...

       Slowly but steadily, Bollywood films are coming out of Imperialist grip. Partner is an example. Most of the action-packed Bollywood films showing violence, riots etc. are meant for male-audience. However, Partner has something for ladies as well. This film also has plenty of Bollywood masaala. Govinda as an IIM graduate fails to make any special impact. Romance-expert Salman Khan fills that vacuum etc., etc. But Truly interesting part is in the first 30 minutes only. You need to be a sharp-eyed lady to catch that. There's absolutely no censorable stuff here. Discerning ladies will definitely purchase CDs of this film !
Sivaji swallows Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
       So, Rajanikant has succeeded in giving an inferiority complex to the Bollywood youngsters. "Jhoom Barabar Jhoom" looks quite dull in front of action packed "Sivaji". Films like Nishabd project oldies as a pitiable lot that weakly tries to impress young girls. However, instead of getting trapped into the babble of matured love, Rajanikant in "Sivaji" creates competition for young actors. You have to keep telling yourselves that this really is a 60 year old actor. In that sense, "Sivaji" is a film produced/directed by die-hard imperialists. Henceforth, young Bollywood actors will have to work extra hard to ensure that their film looks full of ENERGY...!

Namesake
       Finally, a long awaited movie has been released. And as expected, it turned out to be yet another boring film. Even though the intentions were good, the director has failed to capture the beauty of tranquil stillness in the camera. Book & Movie are two different types of media - each having its own strength & weakness as well. When it comes to dramatisation of a book, there is always a difference in perceptions of a book-lover & a dramatist. A book-loveris mostly an introvert whereas a dramatist is almost always a talkative extrovert. That is why dramas or films based on famous novels are seldom as effective as the original novels!

Death of a President
       What kind of persons exist in film-making profession ? Gabriel Range's film "Death of a President" could have at least pointed out the probable mistakes president might commit during his mission against Terrorism. But the film-makers have failed even on this point. Just saying that "the film is in extremely poor taste" may not describe the film completely. In fact, pervert mentality has found its expression in this childish film which has received an award at Toronto.
