The earth was formed, the oceans raised,

The trees grew tall in the skies ablaze,

Great mountains pierced the morning mist,

The meadow blushed with an emerald kiss,

The birdsong rose from the newborn hills,

The fish played in the salted swells,

The horses pawed at the sacred ground,

Immortal breath swept the whole earth round.

And man picked up a charred bit of rock,

And drew until he made an ox.
