SENIOR HIGH BACKPACK TRIP:  Seven or eight people have signed up for the trip; there is room for twelve or thirteen.  Leslie is coordinating, hiring a guide, etc.

BOSTON MISSION TRIP:  From July 1 through July 8.  Ten to eleven have signed up.  Bev Noah has made airline reservations for 14 people.  Departure will be on Sunday morning.  Shannon Drawe and Brandon are sponsors; a female sponsor is needed.  Participants will sleep at a Baptist church.  Postcards will be mailed.

PARENT MEETING:  Brandon will hold a parent meeting on June 3, after worship.

MIDDLE SCHOOL TRIP TO COLORADO:  June 13 – 18.  Compass, the trip organizer, charges $265/person.  There is no limit to the number of people who can participate; friends are most welcome.  We may rent a bus for transportation.  Perhaps the $2500 refunded from the ski trip can be used to subsidize the cost of the trip.  Signup deadline is May 20.

YOUTH CHOIR:  The Tennessee trip is cancelled.  Youth Choir needs more participation.  This will be discussed further this summer.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP:  Continues to meet through May (except May 23).  Brandon is providing pizza.  All agreed this was great.  Events planned for June include Rough Riders game (6/6), church game night (6/20), and Whirly Ball (6/27)

MEAT FEST:  The lawn layout has been decided – A border will be created with yellow CAUTION tape between the trees bordering Oak and west parking lot.  Food will be served on tables along the outside walls of sanctuary and kitchen.  Tables for back sale and t-shirt sales will border Oak.  Tables for face painting and balloon sculpture, as well as a place for a live band to perform, will be setup along the west parking lot border.  A bounce house will occupy the northwest corner of the lawn.  BBQ cookers will be set up in the parking lot.  Fire ants are being addressed.  About 20 tables and chairs will be set up in the middle.  T-shirts purchased:  50 small, 50 medium, 90 large, 50 extra-large, and 10 XXL.  They will be sold for $15 each.  Megan and Hillary will help with balloon art and face painting.  Brandon will provide sodas for the youth to sell.  The Session has approved casual dress for May 20 worship.  Susan will coordinate serving of sides (beans, potato salad, and coleslaw).  Karen will coordinate back sale.  Kari will make table signs.  Custodians will help to move tables and trash cans.  Lisa will provide plates and utensil/napkin packs.  Jay Carradine, Jay Thomas, and Joe Fritz will cook 12-13 briskets.  The need for baked goods to sell will be announced.  All sales, except for t-shirts, will be through donation.

COMMITTEE NIGHT FOOD:  Committees were asked if we should continue to provide dinners on Tuesday committee nights.  YMC voted “no.”  YMC will provide cookies, munchies, etc. on June 12.

YMC will meet again on June 12 at 6 pm.
