Last Thursday (Oct 24) Riyadh group met in their regular 6-monthly meeting which was attended by a singificant number of paediatricians. Hot issues concerning the postgraduate training here and back home were discussed and steps were taken towards correction of the state of "Stalemate"

The First Paediatric Forum was held 5th March 2002 in collaboration with the Federal EPI The great gesture is that it was attended by the Regional EMRO WHO Director - DR Hussain Algazairi. Over 100 paediatricians with reasonable representation from all States attended this successful forum on polio eradication. The recommendations of the forum will be seriously considered by both the paediatric association and the EPI
