The engineering firm continues to put the final touches on the project plans for the dam. The engineers met with local and Harrisburg-based DEP officials a few weeks ago at the construction site for what I would describe as a "make sure we're on the same page" meeting. Dan and I attended the meeting and we both feel it was very productive. It's very important that the final design plan meets every DEP requirement so we can avoid any unneccesary permit delays.
This past week, the firm also shot some "sight lines" to determine what the new water level will be upon completion and I am pleased to report that they expect the water level to be very close to what it was in the past. I know some people were concerned about this issue.
