Those who attended the August 12th meeting about the lake project know that Dan Gotti and I (Bob Billstone) have been asked by the membership to worth together to move the project forward.

Dan will serve as project manager and I will work closely with him and the rest of the board members to keep everyone informed about our progress.

In speaking with a representative from DEP this week, it was confirmed that once a permit application is submitted to rebuild the dam, the department will look to recover its cost of hiring the contractors to breach the dam at Lake Betsy.  The cost is $14,475.  However, once our final design permit is submitted, we will approach DEP officials to try and have that cost reduced or eliminated...an attempt which may or may not be successful.  We will keep you informed of our progress on this point once our permit is in the hands of the DEP.   --- Bob Billstone
