Tossing and turning like my pillow's full of rocks
Bed is freezing like I'm stuck in an ice box
No matter how many sheets I use to cover myself
I'm all alone, freezing by myself
Feeling so listless
All alone, I'm so helpless
My head's spinning round and round
I just can't get my mind to shutdown
A deadly case of insomnia
There's just no sleeping without ya
No matter how hard I've tried
I can't sleep without you by my side
Like a writer without a muse
I try to do it alone but there's just no use
Baby I've fallen so deep
Without you I just can't sleep
Ashley, hon what am I to do?
I just can't sleep without you
Pills aren't helping me too much
I really need your magic touch
Please come and tuck me in
Sing me to sleep and let the dream begin
Kiss my eyes and lay your head on my chest
Tell me sweet dreams and then I can rest
Together you and me, as a team
We will both fall asleep and share the dream
This poem was written on another one of those sleepless nights to explain why I can't sleep too well nowadays.
